Catching up from a busy July!

BEWARE...Picture Overload!! We had a very busy July! We spent July 1st- July 10th at the lake and had a ball with family and friends!!!

Thought this was a fun way to start...Mom took this picture of Michael and me as we were coming back in from a fun afternoon at Hell's Gate on July 2nd!

We headed over to the Smith's house for a great July 4th (couple of days early, but PK celebrates on the Saturday of the 4th weekend) fish fry and fireworks. Fireworks were ban in all areas of the lake because we are still so dry, but the annual Hell's Gate firework display still was held that evening.

Michael arranged for the girls to help him out with a little birthday celebration during our dinner at the Smith's. July 2nd was my 35th birthday! They were all sweet to play along!

Michael even had a cake brought from Lubbock with 35 candles on it...glad we didn't start a fire!

We had a great time...great food, friends and fireworks!

On Sunday, July 3rd, our dear college friends, Brandon and Kerri Bates and their two boys came to stay the night! It was so much fun seeing them and spending time with their sweet boys!

This was about the extent of the "group pictures" from the Bates trip...the kiddos! Wish I had a good one of Brandon and Kerri too! We sure had fun! Love y'all!

The rest of the week was amazing family time!! We spent a lot of time on the lake!

Can you see Kate's black eye!! She suffered an "injury" at the July 4th party...ran into the kitchen island at the Smiths...a few tears and she was good to go!

We drove into Graham one evening to take Kate to see Cars 2...her first movie theater experience!

She loved the movie, but we think she LOVED the popcorn even more! Yummy!

Michael is learning to wake board! Thanks to our buddy Chuck...he is a good teacher and Michael is a good student! He and Chuck (has a place next door) would get up most mornings and be on the lake by 7:30am when the water was still! They had fun!

Our last night at the lake we boated over to a newer restaurant (or at least new to us) with the Dannheims and their lake neighbors, the Jacksons. It was HOT, but good food and company!

The restaurant had prairie dogs in a little pen...Kate loved them...yuck!
