Labor Day Weekend, 2011!

Another Fun Family weekend at PK Lake...Labor Day 2011!! Despite the SECOND round of wildfires at PK, we were able to enjoy the lake. Our area of the lake was evacuated on Wednesday afternoon, but was re-opened to home owners and visitors on Thursday afternoon. Sadly, the area known as The Cliffs was hit hard...39 homes/structures were burned and MANY acres of land. Much of the lake is still recovering from the wildfires back in April!

Michael's parents, Mel and Phyllis, joined us, as well as, as sweet niece, Karsen!

We spent some time with our Lubbock and lake neighbors, the Dannheims! They have a super fun "tube"...Big Bubba!

Our college friends, Barney and Jennifer Fudge, along with their kiddos, Riley and Brodie, joined us at Sandy Beach on Sunday! It was fun to see them and catch up!!

The water was SUPER rough all weekend long...most of the day Sunday and Monday there were white caps on the lake. The girls got out on Sunday morning and tubed with Michael and Pappy!

At Sandy Beach on Sunday, Michael played hard with the girls! They loved when he would sling them around on the tube...trying to knock them off!

Monday morning we woke up to COOL weather...Praise God!!! It was in the low 60's!! Pappy and Michael fixed the best breakfast out side...eggs and bacon!! Yummy! It smelled so tasty!

We had a great family weekend at the lake!! Thankful for family and time off of work!!
