Happy Thanksgiving, 2011!

What a wonderful Thanksgiving!!! Michael, Kate and I, along with Nana and Pappy Harlien, joined our dear family friends, the Sasos, for Thanksgiving at their home this year. I have mentioned the Sasos many times before, but just as a reminder...Jim and I worked together in Upstate NY, both with Pfizer. Michael and I moved to Lubbock in 2003 and the Sasos moved here with their 3 girls a couple of years later. We spend a lot of time with the Sasos and feel like they are family! They invited our 5 Harlien family members to join their 5 Saso family members for a traditional Italian feast. I would say a traditional "Italian Thanksgiving"...but (as I was reminded during dinner) it's just Americans who celebrate Thanksgiving!! (Yes, Michael still hasn't let me live it down that I asked Lora, whose parents live in Canada, what they were doing for Thanksgiving...yep, sometimes I just don't think before I open my mouth!)

This was what was on the menu...YUMMO!

Pappy and Nana about to enjoy some of the yummy appetizers! So thankful for them!!
The two older girls...Christine and Jamie. Don't they set a pretty Thanksgiving table?!

The Saso Girls, minus Monica, and me!

Please don't be jealous...but doesn't this look YUMMY?! Lora made her mother's recipes of lasagna and manicotti. Let me tell you friends...you can't get this at Olive Garden! Ha! It was so delicious!! Thank you, Lora!!

Another look at the yummy appetizers...we could have made a meal on these!

I didn't take too many pictures, I guess I was too busy enjoying the yummy food and good friends?! Right before we left...all the girls had gotten comfy! Kate and the Saso Girls!!

Sweet, Sweet Friends!
